Nature and the richness of the landscape inspire the saturated color you see in my original oil paintings.  As an artist, I magnify the shapes, textures and complexities of the color I see transforming the ordinary object into the unexpected and extraordinary.

From floral icon, to underwater sea life or traditional still life, you'll find a holistic view of the cycles of life is a common thread that connects my artwork. Working on wood allows a glass like surface for glazing many layers of paint while creating subtle transitions between form, color and texture.

I paint in a style developed by Rembrandt and the Dutch still life painters who made the floral subject a classic motif in painting. A close up view of my subjects allows a contemporary approach to a timeless tradition.
